Dear colleagues,
as I haven't yet set up access to the mailing list more broadly,
I'm forwarding a request to Georgy, WP6 leader. Please be
informed of a summer school organized by a member of DRD5,
Steven Hoekstra.
with best greetings,
Mcihael
Dear Georgy,
It was nice to be at the DRD5 collaboration last week. Now I
have the following question: I am organising a summerschool in
the Netherlands, the topic of which fits nicely into the DRD5
theme, particularly WP1. The school is aimed at master students,
PhD students and postdocs in the field of low-energy precision
experiments for particle physics. I was wondering whether the
following announcement could be sent on the mailing list - shall
I go ahead and do this myself, or will you distribute as
initiator of the mail-list?
All the best,
Steven

Dear colleague,
This summer, we are organising the second summer school on
the topic of “Search for new physics with low-energy
precision tests”. The summer school will take place from
29th of June to 4th of July 2025 at the Fletcher Hotel Ameland,
on the beautiful Ameland Island in the north of the Netherlands.
In the framework of the summer school we aim to provide young
scientists (Masters, PhDs, and Postdocs) with a comprehensive
introduction to different aspects of the search for physics
beyond the Standard Model. Topics will include the status of the
Standard Model and its extensions, parity violation, search for
the electron electric dipole moment and for variation of the
fundamental constants, experimental methods to manipulate and
control atoms, ions and molecules, and theoretical approaches.
By bringing together enthusiastic scientists and students from
different disciplines connected to the search for physics beyond
the Standard Model we hope to foster the development of this
field and to encourage new collaborations. The confirmed invited
speakers are
Nick Hutzler (Caltech), Kieran Flanagan (Manchester),
Konstantin Gaul (Mainz), Jacinda Ginges
(Queensland, Australia) en Jordy de Vries (UvA,
Amsterdam), Yuval Shagam
(Technion, Israel) and Rob Timmermans (University
of Groningen).
We are looking forward to an exciting mix of theory,
experiment, AMO and particle physics!
More information and the registration form can be found here:
The application deadline is April 1st!
And please feel free to forward this email to anyone else who
would be interested in attending.
Best regards,
Anastasia Borschevsky and Steven Hoekstra - organizers
